• For New Families (Not Covered Under PM-JAY): Elders will receive a shared family cover of up to ₹5 Lakh per year. However, this wallet is restricted strictly to the senior citizens within that specific household.
• Option for Other Public Health Schemes: Senior citizens currently availing of other public health insurance systems like CGHS, ECHS, or Ayushman CAPF have a flexible one-time option to either stick with their existing scheme or switch to the AB PM-JAY portal.
• Private Insurance Compatibility: Individuals holding private health insurance policies or Employee State Insurance (ESIS) are fully eligible to apply and generate their Vay Vandana card.

2. Step 2: Select the ‘Beneficiary’ login option, enter your active mobile number, click on ‘Get OTP’, and log in to the dashboard.
3. Step 3: Click on the dedicated enrollment link for senior citizens aged 70 and above.
4. Step 4: Input the Aadhaar number of the elder beneficiary and proceed to the electronic-KYC (e-KYC) section.
