Timely India (timelyindia.com) is committed to accuracy in every article we publish. Despite our best efforts, errors can occasionally occur. This Corrections Policy outlines how we handle mistakes and ensures that our readers always have access to the most accurate and up-to-date information on our platform.
We believe that correcting errors quickly and transparently is a fundamental responsibility of every credible news organisation. We never delete or silently edit articles to hide mistakes. Every correction is acknowledged openly.
Types of Corrections
Minor Corrections
These include spelling errors, grammatical mistakes, incorrect dates or numbers, and minor factual inaccuracies that do not change the overall meaning or conclusion of the article. Minor corrections are fixed immediately and a brief note is added at the bottom of the article stating what was changed and when.
Significant Corrections
These include errors that affect the core meaning, conclusion, or key facts of a story — such as an incorrect name, wrong statistics, a misattributed quote, or a factual claim that has been proven wrong. For significant corrections, we add a clearly visible “Correction” notice at the top of the article explaining what was wrong and what the correct information is, along with the date and time of the correction.
Retractions
In rare cases where an article is found to be fundamentally inaccurate and cannot be corrected meaningfully, we may retract the article entirely. In such cases, the article is replaced with a retraction notice that explains why the content was removed. We do not simply delete articles without explanation.

Our Standards
- We never alter the substance of a published article without clearly noting the change
- We never backdate corrections or make them appear as if the original article was always correct
- We apply the same correction standards to all content regardless of the subject, person, or organisation involved
- Corrections are made by our editorial team and reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief before publication
Timely India holds itself to the same standard of accountability that we expect from public institutions and leaders we cover. Honest corrections are not a sign of weakness — they are a sign of integrity.
