Zone-Wise Performance in the Top 500

According to the official JEE Advanced 2026 statistics, the IIT Madras zone recorded the highest representation in the top 500 with 174 candidates. The IIT Bombay zone followed with 120 candidates, while the IIT Delhi zone had 114 candidates in the top 500.

Despite having fewer candidates than IIT Madras in the overall top 500 count, the IIT Delhi zone produced several of the highest-ranked candidates, including AIR 1, AIR 2, AIR 3, AIR 7, and AIR 10 in the Common Rank List.

What About AAT Registration?

Candidates who have qualified JEE Advanced 2026 and wish to seek admission to the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programme offered by IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee are required to register separately for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2026. The registration process is available through the official portal at cportal.jeeadv.ac.in. Only candidates who have qualified JEE Advanced 2026 are eligible to apply for AAT.

What’s Next for JEE Advanced 2026 Qualifiers?

Following the declaration of the JEE Advanced 2026 result, qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling process for admission to IITs and other participating institutes. The counselling schedule, seat allotment rounds, and admission-related instructions will be released separately on the official JoSAA website.

Candidates are advised to keep their required documents ready, including Class 10 and Class 12 certificates, category certificates (where applicable), and valid identity proof, as these may be required during the counselling and admission process.

According to the official qualifying criteria, candidates in the Common Rank List (CRL) were required to secure at least 92 aggregate marks, along with the prescribed minimum marks in each subject, to qualify for rank allocation in JEE Advanced 2026.
