NEET UG Re Exam 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the re-examination date for NEET UG 2026. As per the latest update released with the approval of the Government of India, the NEET (UG) 2026 re-exam will now be conducted on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Earlier, the NEET UG 2026 examination held on May 3 was cancelled following the nationwide paper leak controversy.

Why Was NEET UG 2026 Cancelled?

The NEET UG 2026 examination was cancelled after multiple reports of a paper leak surfaced from different states. Later, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) started investigating the matter and several accused were detained during the probe.

According to investigation agencies, leaked question papers were allegedly circulated among candidates before the examination in exchange for large amounts of money. Following nationwide criticism and pressure from students, the Government of India approved the cancellation of the exam.

NTA is expected to release the fresh NEET UG 2026 admit cards a few days before the examination date. Candidates will be able to download their hall ticket by visiting the official website and entering their application number and date of birth.

What Happens Next?

With the NEET UG re-exam date now officially announced, candidates are once again preparing for one of India’s biggest medical entrance examinations. More than 22 lakh students had appeared in the cancelled exam conducted earlier this month.
