NEET Fee Refund 2026: National Testing Agency (NTA) will start the NEET UG 2026 Fee Refund Portal from May 21, 2026. Candidates whose NEET UG 2026 exam held on May 3 was cancelled due to the paper leak controversy will be able to submit their bank account details online and get their application fee refunded. Along with the refund facility, NTA has already confirmed that the NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam will be conducted on June 21, 2026, and candidates will not have to pay any additional fee for appearing in the examination again.

The agency has activated a special correction and refund process for affected candidates. Students who have changed their residence after the cancellation of the examination can also update their preferred exam city through the official portal. The correction facility will remain available till May 21, 2026.

How Much Refund Will NEET UG 2026 Candidates Get?

NTA will refund the registration fee according to the category selected by the candidate during the application process. General category candidates will receive ₹1,700, OBC and EWS candidates will get ₹1,600, while SC, ST, PwD and Third Gender candidates will receive ₹1,000 as refund. NRI candidates will receive ₹9,500.

No Fee Required for NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam

Candidates will not have to pay any fresh application fee for the re-examination. NTA has clarified that all eligible candidates from the cancelled examination can directly appear in the June 21 re-test.

The examination will be conducted from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM in offline mode. NEET UG 2026 will be held in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Urdu, Marathi, Malayalam, Gujarati, Punjabi, Assamese, Kannada and Odia.

Exam City Change Window Open Till May 21

Candidates who have shifted to another city after the cancellation of the examination can update their preferred examination city through the correction window. According to NTA, the facility will remain available till 11:50 PM on May 21.

The agency has also informed candidates that the re-exam centre may be different from the centre allotted earlier. The final allotment will depend on the updated city preference and availability of examination centres.

Language Medium Cannot Be Changed

While candidates can modify their examination city preference, NTA has not allowed any changes in the selected language medium. The language chosen during registration will remain the same for the re-examination.
