Bihar Police Constable Exam Date 2023 Announced: Written Exam to be Held from December 2, Check Full Schedule

Patna: The Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC), Bihar, has announced the revised schedule for the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment Examination 2023. Candidates who have applied for the recruitment drive can now check the complete examination timetable released by the board.

According to the official notification, the written examination will be conducted on multiple dates between December 2023 and January 2024. The examination will take place in a single shift on each scheduled day, while details regarding the examination centres were issued separately through admit cards.

Bihar Police Constable Exam Schedule 2023

As per the revised schedule, the examination was conducted on the following dates:

  • 2 December 2023
  • 3 December 2023
  • 9 December 2023
  • 10 December 2023
  • 16 December 2023
  • 23 December 2023
  • 30 December 2023
  • 6 January 2024
  • 7 January 2024

The recruitment examination began on December 2, 2023, and concluded on January 7, 2024.

Bihar Police Constable Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the constable recruitment were required to fulfil the eligibility conditions prescribed by CSBC.

Age Limit

Applicants were required to be between 18 and 25 years of age as of January 1, 2024. Reserved category candidates were eligible for age relaxation as per government rules.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed Intermediate (Class 12) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.

Physical Standards

For male candidates, the minimum required height was 165 cm, while female candidates were required to have a minimum height of 157 cm.

Male applicants were also required to meet the prescribed chest measurement standards. The minimum chest measurement was fixed at 81 cm in normal condition and 86 cm after expansion.

Candidates were also expected to meet the medical and vision standards prescribed by the recruitment board.

Bihar Police Constable Selection Process

The recruitment process consisted of three major stages:

  1. Written Examination
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  3. Medical Examination

Only candidates qualifying in each stage were considered for the next phase of the selection process.

Written Examination Pattern

The written examination consisted of objective-type questions carrying one mark each. Questions were asked from subjects including:

  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • General Knowledge
  • Current Affairs
  • Mental Ability

The written test served as the first stage of screening for candidates participating in the recruitment process.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates who cleared the written examination were called for the Physical Efficiency Test.

The PET included events such as:

  • 1600-meter race for male candidates
  • 800-meter race for female candidates
  • High Jump
  • Long Jump

Performance in these activities played an important role in the final selection process.

Medical Examination

After qualifying the PET, candidates were required to undergo a medical examination. The purpose of the medical test was to determine whether the candidate met the physical and health standards necessary for service in Bihar Police.
